The Punter Venue Information

The Punter is a splendid pub at 3 Pound Hill (map below/bigger), just round the corner from Kettle's Yard, with a fine selection of ales and wines and, if you're hungry, excellent food -- see here for details/review in Local Secrets' inimitable style. Events are all held in the converted barn at the rear of the pub's courtyard.

There is ground-floor access to the event room at The Punter. Although there is a ground floor toilet adjacent to the event room this has unfortunately not as yet been fully adapted for wheelchair use.

Directions

On foot follow Bridge Street out of town, over Magdalene Bridge, at first set of traffic lights turn left onto Northampton Street and the Punter is on the other side of the road on the corner of Pound Hill and Northampton Street.

The nearest multi story car park is Park Street. There is free parking after 6pm in the streets around The Punter itself (from Pound Hill up to Mount Pleasant and across to St Peter's Street) as well as on The Backs along Queen's Road.

If coming by bus Citi 1, Citi 2 and the City Centre Shuttle buses all run fairly regularly and stop in nearby Bridge Street (bus map).
